The Astronomical Society of the Desert will conduct “sky tours” and direct observations of the night sky through telescopes and giant binoculars. Hosted by the Astronomical Society of the Desert. For more details or information visit their website at www.astrorx.org
When it becomes full darkness, we will use black lights to seek out the various night creatures inhabiting our desert. Some creatures we might find are: scorpions, tarantulas, lizards, geckos, spiders, owls, jackrabbits, snakes and maybe a coyote. This is a family event. Minors must be accompanied by parent or guardian. Bring water and wear closed-toed shoes. If you have a black light bring it along. If not, we have a few to share. Hosted by Friends of the Desert Mountains.
RSVP Required 760-862-9984 or check the Friends of the Desert Mountains Facebook page at facebook.com/FriendsoftheDesert or www.DesertMountains.org
